Admission to the Automotive Academy

The Automotive Academy seeks to assist potential technicians and compare their interests in the career choice to the realities of the work in context to their own talents.  The limited seats available each year require a competitive application process through which those most likely to succeed in the Academy and in this occupation, will be admitted. 

Candidates that do not meet the minimum requirements for employment, as established by the Industry Task Force will not be admitted.   

The process begins with a written application.  Those meeting the minimum requirements will be asked to participate in written assessments.  The last step is an interview, conducted by KVCC staff and employers from the Task Force.
